Multicoloured Geometric Nail Art

Thursday, October 15, 2015

I'm here today writing this from my local library, in front of children's science fiction novels, because my home ran out of internet (long story, don't ask). On my babies, I have a combo of a freehand geometric print, and saran wrap nails with gold studs.

And because my dad kindly brought my hiking with him, I was able to take some nature shots with the local flora.

Don't know what this is, but it's spiky
Colours Used:
- Nicole by OPI's "Emerald Empowered"
- Nicole by OPI's "Plum to Your Senses!"
- OPI's "Thrill of Brazil"
- Light Turquoise acrylic paint
- Yellow acrylic paint
- Red acrylic paint
- Purple acrylic paint

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Start with a base colour of red
  2. Add a layer of red acrylic paint so the rest of paint will adhere better
  3. Start with the yellow paint and draw diamonds, evenly spaced, on the nail
  4. Add a small red diamond in the centre
  5. Outline the yellow with the light turquoise
  6. Outline the turquoise with the purple
  7. Clean up with the red and the design is finished
